Chaldean Numerology Chart

The full Chaldean (Cheiro) letter-to-number chart, where every letter maps to a value from 1 to 8 and the number 9 is kept apart as sacred.
Chaldean numerology is one of the oldest letter-to-number systems, popularised in the West by the astrologer Cheiro. Unlike the Pythagorean method it assigns values from 1 to 8 only: the number 9 is never given to a letter, because it was held to be sacred. Values are based on the sound and vibration of each letter rather than its position in the alphabet, which is why the chart is not a simple A=1, B=2 sequence.
The Chaldean chart
To find a name's Chaldean number, add the value of each letter, then reduce the total to a single digit (a two-digit "compound" number is also read on its own, per Cheiro).

| 1 | A, I, J, Q, Y |

Notes
- No letter equals 9. Nine can appear only as a final reduced total, never as a letter value.
- Compound numbers matter. Chaldean practice reads the two-digit total (for example 19 or 23) for its own meaning before reducing it to a single digit.
