The media library

The Media library stores your uploads and lets you reuse them across pages and posts. You can upload from your device or paste a URL where a field allows it.

Automatic optimization

Images are optimized on upload: recompressed, and served as modern formats (WebP or AVIF) where the browser supports them, while keeping a fallback. Your logo and favicon are optimized too, and a favicon is scaled to a sensible size. You can also re-optimize existing media in bulk. Featured and inline images carry explicit dimensions, which prevents layout shift and improves your Core Web Vitals score.

The result is fast pages without you having to resize or compress anything by hand.
